How to Become a Massage Therapist in Oregon
To become a massage therapist in Oregon, you must obtain a massage therapist license from the Oregon State Board of Massage Therapists. This license is required to practice massage therapy and needs to be renewed every two years. To apply for a license, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Complete 625 education hours from an approved massage therapy school
- Pass the MBLEx, NCBTMB exam or CESI
- Pass the Oregon Jurisprudence Exam
- Pass a background check
- Pay the application fee
