How to Become a Massage Therapist in Ohio
To become a massage therapist in Ohio, you must obtain a massage therapist license from the State Medical Board of Ohio. This license is required to practice massage therapy and needs to be renewed every two years. To apply for a license, you must:
- Be at least 18 years old
- Complete a massage therapy course with 600 education hours at a state-approved school
- Pass the MBLEX
- Complete a background check
- Pay the application fee
