Wyoming Beauty License Guidelines
To offer beauty services in Wyoming, you must obtain a license from the Wyoming Board of Cosmetology. Be sure to check for the most up-to-date guidelines when you’re applying for a license. These are the main steps to become licensed:
- Be at least 16 years old.
- Have completed high school or the equivalent.
- For cosmetology: complete 2,000 hours of training at a state-approved cosmetology school.
- For esthetics: complete 600 hours of training at a state-approved esthetician school.
- Submit a notarized application.
- Have your official school transcripts sent directly to the board.
- Pay the required fees.
- Pass the NIC (National-Interstate Council of State Boards of Cosmetology) written and practical exams.
Once you pass your exams, the board office will issue your license.
