Do I Need Insurance to Practice Cosmetology in Ohio?

It may not be required by the state, but you do need beauty insurance to protect your business. Carrying liability insurance keeps you from having to pay for expensive damages on your own. That means you won’t have to put appointments on hold to sort out claims like clients getting hurt during your services or saying you failed to meet their expectations.

In addition, salons, spas, and other venues typically require you to get insured and list them as an additional insured on your policy before bringing you on board.

For peace of mind, meeting employment requirements, and as a signal to your clients that you’re a professional they can trust, it’s a smart choice to get cosmetology insurance in Ohio.
