To offer beauty services in Nevada, you must obtain a license from the Nevada State Board of Cosmetology. Be sure to check for the most up-to-date guidelines when you’re applying for a license. These are the main steps to become licensed:
- For cosmetology: complete 1,600 hours of training at a cosmetology program in Nevada.
- For esthetics: complete 600 hours of training at an esthetic program in Nevada.
- Pass the practical test at your school.
- Pass the theory and Nevada state law tests.
- Pay the registration fee.
